CASA back at work

Great to see the tireless industry focused ‘public servants’ at CASA back at work from their Christmas/New Year holiday shutdown. Did aviation stop over that period? Call the 131757 number over the season and the message says “we’re closed”! Tax dollars, CASA fees and charges couldn’t have a desk manned? How could the industry possibly operate without them....

Actually I note that the industry operates despite them.

CASA who???

‘CASA back at work’? Bit of a contradiction in terms. Question is whether they were ever at work? The industry also operates before 0900 Monday to Friday, after 1600 Monday to Thursday and after 1300 Friday afternoons. Industry also operates on all weekends too !!
Additionally, industry continues to operate while CASA staff regulate by watching YouTube videos, while they enjoy long lunches, while they attend courses, while CASA executives sit in front of senate estimates and senate inquiries, and while the DAS can be seen bobbing up and down below the Ministers desk. CASA, the worst that money can buy.

CASA’s vision = ‘safe empty skies for all’

Is there any discernible difference whether the "office" is manned or not?

"Work" in Brisbane has also moved from BNE Airport to a central city office building - about as far from aviation as you can get! Pop-in for a chat - forget it!

The DCA/Dot/CAA office was for many years in Fortitude Valley. What was old is new again!
