Anyone know why the VA ATR are sitting on the ground in Nelson

Yeah all the 500 going into storage or leased to other companies. But c checks first. Nelson were competing with a local Aussie MRO for the job.

VA has been advertising them for sub-lease via brokers as the lessor doesn't want them back in a hurry. In March Sharpy said that they were signing LOIs to sub-lease a couple, but not sure what has happened since then.

The rate at which they seem to bend them makes me think that some may end up coming back across the Tasman and back into service.

At least one (VH-FVM IIRC) has been painted into Hevilift colours.
