You guys are all missing the point. Avalon tower will be open during the hours of operation for the Air Asia flights. The only time Avalon tower is closed for JQ movements is for the first departure (0600) and the last arrival (2330).
Avalon has firies on site that are as well equiped as Melbourne airport.
