Thanks Bullwinkle... I could go into inordinate detail about everything that is wrong with that organization. Someone who works there summed it up a few months ago when we were chatting and another person at the table asked "Why can QF do ... and VA can't" to which the VA person said "Because Qantas is a REAL airline". I know many have their complaints about QF but JCA, at least they can handle the basics and their systems are so robust that it doesn't matter what aircraft turns up at the gate, they can handle it - unlike VA who can barely get A330s to/from PER without delays and avoid using them MEL/SYD/BNE because they just can't get it right. It's very frustrating for people who know what they're doing to see one stupid and infantile decision after another for which accolades and millions of $$ are awarded.
