Etihad are starting A380 ops into YMML in early July replacing the present B777, according to a well known Melbourne travel agency.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will commence daily A380 services between Abu Dhabi and Melbourne on 1 June 2016.
I guess this Etihad press release last October was a little ambitious then😏

I noticed they are still running a B777, into YMML as EY 462/3.
Or will that be phased out now the A380 is running?

Thanks for that B772, missed the schedule on the press release.

No shortage of seats to Abu Dhabi then!

They have only a further 2 A380s on order due next year, so chances would be slim as an Australia run takes 2 aircraft.
