Could anybody be kind enough to let me know how long to expect currently or what your experience has been with the hold file for direct entry? PM me or on here, cheers.

There isn’t one. Plenty of 10 year captains wanting to go across that still haven’t. Also plenty with a year or so experience that have.

Will there be another ground school before the corporate shutdown for the year? Or would the 5 November course be the last? Asking for a friend.

I don't know off hand for this December but typically courses do start in December and January. I see no reason why this year would be any different, a lot of people to get through.

Would like to hear from those who managed to get a spot. What were you're experiences like? Like you expected? Job satisfaction etc

Muddy....Not a newbie but have flown with several very fresh FO's lately and they have all said that the training was extensive (both longevity as well as knowledge covering); and all noted that they are really enjoying the job so far. (NOTE: Not a wind up, simply stating the facts after sitting next to these new guys/gals)

Does anyone know when the next ground school is going to be held? Jan or Feb 2019? Cheers.

I’m wondering if anyone has received an offer for the course starting late January?

Thanks in advance!

2019 Update?

Anyone have any idea about the expected movements this year with Link? Still monthly-run courses? Preferences for trainee candidates with little/lots of hours? Hold file wait times? etc etc

Yes - you should be contacting AFAP. They are pushing back hard on this but seeing as though the labour proposal has already been approved there is not a lot that can be done.
