Reported Loss of Sep, Melbourne

Ben seems to think this was a bit close for comfort: Traffic chopper too close to Melbourne jets | Plane Talking

Was it? Or was it just a slow news day?

Sandilands used to be good. Now he's sounding like that cafe in Bermagui. He can't even spell.

story lacks precision, fact and relevance
VH-WYS does not operate above 1500 and can g'tee 5km west is anecdotal at best..... I'll go with Bloggs' take - it was a quiet news day (until now)

Sandilands has decided to go down the tabloid route with his style of writing. a lot of it is just bollocks, like this gem:

at one minute past seven am on the morning of the special national day of celebration.

The statement about changing the runway configuration also demonstrates a remarkable lack of knowledge about how things work at "the big one". Give me a break.
