You guys need to do a little research, look at the Qantas website and see what they are selling seats for ! Looks like $1400 on way, $500 more than the said airline. Chill out
One of the reasons for high fares before and after special events such as the Grand Final, is that airlines put on extra capacity that essentially empty in one direction. They have to recover the cost of this from those who occupy the seats going the other way. Were it not for the special event, you wouldn't have a capacity imbalance. One has to question, however, how much ripping and gouging takes place versus cost recovery and a reasonable contribution to profit.
That reply to a Qantas post was a bit different to your one before about Virgin there Ken. Hows you're balance-o-meter going? Needs a tune up?
It will be interesting to see how many F100s are parked in ML on Saturday! Might be a record for the number of Dutch aeroplanes in YMML?!

Not really! Balance is fine. My post was made before any supplementary flying by the Big Two was put on sale.
On Dutch aeroplanes, I think there would have been a lot more at Tulla in the 70s and 80s then you will see there this coming week-end.
Good luck getting into PER this morning vis down to 100m
