Qantas Expands International Routes
Good rumour MEA332. QF certainly needs more capacity and another 5 aircraft would kickstart career progression and provide employment for pilots returning from LWOp.

The 737s Perth to Singapore make sense, just too late, Qantas should never have left the perth international market completely, when they decided to move the A330, the 737 should have been brought in and the service continued to Singapore with that aircraft, to maintain a presence for loyal QF and One World frequent flyers, who wanted to be able to fly Qantas for points/lounge access etc.
Unfortunately in the eyes of the Perth market the damage is done, and many previous Perth based Qantas passengers have moved on!
Qantas can never compete with the likes of Singapore and Cathay from Australia on frequency, SQ and CX can only sustain their levels of frequency because the flights feed their hubs, Qantas flights do not.
For example, one only has to look at the number of flights Emirates, Etihad and Qatar operate daily to their hubs ex London compared to BA, London to Dubai Emirates 8 daily BA 2, to Doha Qatar 6 BA 0 and Abu Dhabi Etihad 3 BA 1
