Sydney Airport Shut Down - Hostage Situation at Lindt Cafe

There is currently a hostage situation with what appears to be 2 gunman demonstrating support for ISIS.

As a result YSSY has been shut down and airspace around it. Anyone at the airport? Must be chaos.

Best wishes to the hostages involved in the siege.

Some online coverage here:

Lindt Chocolat Cafe hostage drama in Martin Place, Sydney

11:35am: Sydney's Muslim leaders have expressed their concerns and a number of organisations have offered to help in "any way they can."
11:17am: We reported earlier that Sydney air space was shut down. That is not correct. No Sydney sir [sic] space has been shut down, Air Services says.

Sydney Airport was NOT shut down. There has been minor diversions around the CBD airspace.

That is all.

Let's keep it real.
