Leigh Clifford a notable Liberal benefactor.

I don't know why you guys hate on Leigh so much. Turns out he's on the same side as you.

Other notable personal donors to the Liberal Party included media mogul Harold Mitchell ($17,094) and Qantas chairman Leigh Clifford ($15,000).

He also used to be the number one ticket holder at the Mighty Bombers.....unfortunately.

I'd rather have Air India land at Essendon...........

Perhaps Leigh's intentions are misunderstood?
Perhaps he really is just 'a nice guy doing his best to do the right thing'?

I still can't work out why they call them 'donations' and not 'investments'...

So ampclamp, with that simplistic view, one would assume he made bigger donations to the ALP?

Seriously, I can't stand him, and the train wreck left behind his leadership is impressive to say the least. But the political party he donates to has bugger all to do with anything.

Secretly I hope he votes ALP or greens, just so we have nothing in common.

15 grand won't buy much influence. You would need another couple of zeros after that number to have much effect...
