I'm not really understanding why there's so much negativity and back stabbing in Australian aviation.
This was a NZ Aoc operation contracted to a large Australian freight company flying into the Solomon Islands. So what? this for people outside of Australia is a common aviation operation. I've worked all over the world on various operations with validations on foreign registration in other countries. All legit.
NZ and Australia have a common skies agreement but when something occasionally goes wrong all the bitching and moaning comes out.

I don't have anything to do with airwork but they are a very old company, so they must be doing something right? So they have a little cock up in the islands where most of you guys have never operated and know nothing about. Then all of a sudden you guys are experts on type and operations and you start slagging them off.

Your first comment was...."I'm not really understanding why there's so much negativity and back stabbing in Australian aviation".

It's really simply, Aussies are the biggest bunch of whingers on planet earth! Too much work, not enough pay, he did this, he did that blah blah blah.

I'm sure if PPRuNe conducted a survey, they would agree.

It's because, generally as a nation, we suffer from penis envy, and the more one slags off some one else, the bigger we think our penis is.

You gotta love us Oztronauts.

PS. I never realised how bad this aspect of the Aussie Aviation Psyche was here until I worked overseas in several countries alongside dozens of different nationalities...

How about all the armchair experts and the petty point scoring egomaniacs go and have a cup of tea and we all wait for the official findings.

You serve no purpose except to make fools of yourselves.
