Jetstar incident at YBBN

Hearing some rumours about a Jetstar flight landing at YBBN today where the wing contacted the runway. Not sure how accurate this info is though...

Actually it was worst than that....it was the TYRES that contacted the runway. THE QF32 incident will fade into insignifiance

Yawn....

Gee two new QF & J* threads & they are still accessible, the Mods must be asleep at the wheel there:-):-)

Hey 'JR' haven't read to much into the batt problem with the plastic fantastic but I was under the impression there was a charging issue re the batteries not so much the batteries themselves although that's the end result, as you say 'rooted':-)

All exterior lights are LED's now.

White wing tip LED's ( strobes, can't call em that now I guess??? ) are crap.
The 748 has the same, no where near as bright as the 777 strobes.

You may yawn but a wingtip strike is not an insignificant event. Be good to know some more details. If, of course, it ever happened...

Well it seems they were seconds from disaster again last night.

Channel 7 reported Jetstar had to abort a landing last night due to strong winds. Wow, must have been seconds from disaster.

What passes for a "journalist" these days is an absolute disgrace.

If they did a go around, I suggest that that statement must be pretty close to the mark?
