Dash 8 gets trapped by a couple of falcons at GLT

A bit embarrassing!
CQ plane spotters are reporting late on Wednesday 3 October as QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOH – operating as QLK2307 to Brisbane – turned down the closed main taxiway and couldn't get out, had to shut down, transfer pax to another bird and the next morning reverse under own steam.

Question

If it reversed under its own power next morning, why couldn't it reverse at the time with the pax on board?

Reverse Taxi is not permitted.

No doubt a dispensation was sought overnight.

Just wondering - not permitted by who? The company?

Yeah, it was allowed back in the day but I think someone almost backed into a pole in SYD years ago.

Could be wrong but definitely banned by the company currently.

Thumbs up

Ah yes. Remember the good old days when one did it fairly regularly in Cairns.
