Man charged with Laser attack on aircraft

Hope they make an example of him.

A 37-year-old man will face a Gold Coast court next month charged with threatening the safety of airplane passengers.

An unnamed commercial airline pilot alerted authorities just before 9pm on Friday that his aircraft was being targeted by a laser light beam while flying over Ormeau, a northern Gold Coast suburb.*

Nothing will happen to him in QLD. There was a chance to make an example of someone a couple of years ago but nothing happened (despite the fact the culprit was even learning to fly at the time as well).
