Apparently there are 8 717's sitting in the desert at present that some start-up operator in Spain has had a hold on for the last 3 years. As Euro has gone to crap this operator has folded releasing the airframes back to the lessor which I believe is Boeing. At the moment Boeing has offered 5 of them to QF which they are grabbing. It's unknown at this stage if Boeing will offer the other 3 to QF. Maybe they have an obligation to other operators to offer them 3 717's who knows. But one things for certain, QF wants as many as they can get. What their master plan is who knows, I'll leave that up to all the experts in this forum.

The third airframe going to Brisbane in March is being crewed from the internal EOI that went out in December. As for the next 5 arriving whenever, I'd say they will need to recruit at least 30 dudes of the street in the coming months. So according to the Sydney refueler the sim in Bne is going to get a good flogging soon.

Still plenty of 717s in storage ex Click, including the last delivery, complete in OneWorld livery.

Interesting to see all those engines missing off the 717's.

Why is an F100 heading off to Algeria?

QQ880 / UTY880 Live flight info - Flightradar24

Are all their airframes just being exported?
