Hmmm, Good luck to them. As a brand (and an Airline) they are very successful.
But here is a Question.
If they are not government owned or subsidised why did their employees receive an email in regard to UAE IDs earlier this year stating that as "government employees" they would be fined for not applying for the card before a certain date? (I don't know the exact details but i'm sure someone will fill in the rest).
It would be Interesting to find out the background on why their management are so keen to prove they are not subsidised when past evidence proves to the contrary?
But as I said, good luck to them. At least they have a vision, unlike the pathetic management twits we work for at QF.

A very quick read shows that they say that they are government owned, through the Investment Corporation of Dubai, on page 8.
