THE WEEK IN OZ 8 APRIL
Astute observers will have noted the absence of lucid commentary on things national, aeronautical or down right interesting over the beginning of the month. Considering the imports of having first, April Fool's Day, then the more serious Easter had for those of a lunar bent, it seemed wise not to consider things aeronautical and other titbits here in OZ.
Remarkably very little happened at the Big Circus during this time, the Girrard winged it to Korea to cozy up to the Obama and Albo was as usual silent about anything. Business gossip mags covered the liquid lunch of St Alan and Tourism Australia's supremo our mate Geoff. Speculation abounds upon the runes and here at the Prune as to the nature of the discussion, prostrate examinations perhaps? Don Carr speculated upon matters Pidgin but failed to notice that the chaos at the bottom had finally filtered all the way through that wacky land.
We all had a giggle at 3 years of work by Fair Work Australia being labelled 'useless' by the Commonwealth Boy's chief proctologist which is about the way most of those involved in things aeronautical felt about recent EBA's and other sundry parties organised by them. All were in agreement however that we all had to have one of those credit cards available at the HSU, where you could run up a cool hundred grand, lend it to your friends and use it to buy yourself favours and flavours of any description.
The Virgin is getting an A330 it seems and pinching more of the Roo's higher class tucker. Asian take away is still flavour of the month for the smart money as is bulk carriers. Madam Merkel has been told to take her greek friends elsewhere by the Bundesbank which should be interesting later on when the next bills fall due and finally Delta is trying to buy an oil refinery a very American way to reverse engineer the Emirates experience.
And of course the re-runs of 'Badgery's Creek' on everyone's TV's continued. As usual the script writers continue to empahsise that very Sydney preoccupation, location location, while others think why don't you just keep the pub open longer? Albo had a bit part and provided his easter blessing to all infrastructures everywhere.
Anyway, till next week, and yep it is all bollocks.

It would appear in Oz that the fun of April fools day lasts all month!
I'll be waiting for the next 'gripping' instalment!
