Boom, the ATR is flagged for CNS-TSV-ROK with an Ejet operating on some of the BNE-GLT routes...

Interesting when the likes of Strategic could only pull 10 people per flight to GLT but Virgin can do 5 ATR's a day plus the odd Ejet.

By the looks of next weeks schedule good ATR 72 utilisation on the Qld coast 'Milk Run" Monday 25/6 shows VH-FVX operating DJ 1239,1901,1904 and 1260 BNE-ROK-TSV-ROK-BNE
I'm guessing MKY and CNS are on the agenda....

CNS ATR flights start in July.
Not sure if they will open a base up here nothing in the local paper about it.
Could do a milk run like QFs BNE-ROK-MKY-TSV-CNS and return would use up one ATR very nicely. Can do a stop at BDB enroute as well.

I think you misread what I said. I said no CNS base, not the ATR will not fly there.

Mid July crews will start TSV overnights with TSV likely to be the next base unless the idea of MEL pops its head up again.

XFE, the 5th A330 arrived in MEL tonight direct from TLS. Word is they may have a new record for the longest A330-200 flight.

Might be wrong, but I thought QF had done TLS-MEL direct once or twice in a A330

XFE did a big diversion through the eastern part of SA, possibly due to the earthquake, so this might give them the edge over previous Qantas/Jetstar flights.

1. pudknocker

A person (usually male) who is pretentious and arrogant, but lacks any real skill or ability. Most often used by military pilots.

"Around here, we got two kinds of pilots: the hotdogs who get all the hot planes, and then you got your pudknockers who dream of flying the hot planes. So, what are you two pudknockers gonna have?"
