Emirates A380 Runway incursion

Would be nice to know the reasons of Emirates A380 Runway incursion at Sydney last friday resulting in RTO and G/A

Without blaming ATC, pilots,... I am honestly interested in this incident as it can happen to any of us. I don't believe that A380 pilots can just overshoot a runway holding point being busy with check list.

...not with all the bullsh1t they have on the FD. Don't they have plan view airport and taxiway electronic maps and built in runway incursion prevention systems onboard? Maybe its a case of technological overload!!

you are right. I always scan the plan view airport chart and apron/taxiway charts and I feel more comfortable than switching from page to page on EFB.
