Anyone know the 3 x QF aircraft currently being scrapped in US?
Use Google Earth, and plug in the following into the "fly to" box to take a look...
32°31'06.19" N 111°19'54.69" W
(in pieces)
32°30'13.59" N 111°19'52.05" W
(-400?)
32°30'14.24" N 111°19'25.30" W
(-300?)
Its the spotter in me that needs to know !
Thanks !

OK, I'll bite... Anorak on.
The first one is a Qantas -300 being scrapped.
The second one is a Qantas -400 being stored, engines and flight controls fitted.
The third one is a -300 being prepped for scrapping by removal of engines and flt controls prior to being towed to the recycling area, all those empty spaces next to it were probably recently occupied by the other 747's being scrapped with the first one.
Anorak off.
