A LAME ? I wouldn't get out of bed for less than $50ph, often up near $75.

I am sure the recruitment groups would be getting that also.

Before having a go at someone with the words "PLEASE READ THE POST".

How about you complete year 9 English so that we have a chance of comprehending what it is you are trying to portray.

The complete lack of punctuation and broad use of capital letters makes it near impossible for the educated.

hahaha, NZ....
No not NZ.. $33 is 3 hours work here for some.

I really do enjoy Jethro's questions. They are never as they first appear and you have to get the grey matter working.

Always digging Jethro....you must be a cheerful fella to work alongside.
I am guessing you are still working in the industry... or trying to.

I worked as a LAME at VB for ALG on $58.50 + 9% super = $63.76 hr. I heard on good authority that the airline were paying $99 hr to ALG for me.

Other agencies in MRTT pay their AMEs closer to $50/hr and I doubt that they bill QF any more or less than ALG. I would guess ALG are billing in the $75 to $80 dollar per hour range. I have heard $77 hr being mentioned as ALG's rate in Qantas hangar 3.

Also know that an agency in NSW makes more per hr on an AMEs hourly rate than a LAMEs.

Hope this gives you something to go on.

A good reply Jetfixer. I am sure we are all impressed with it.

Somehow I suspect one of our number will try and tell you that it is flawed though. Am I being negative ?

Sorry blackhand, they want real mechanics, not people who fix postie scooters or remote control helicopter servers. Plus they only hire illuminati and Nimbin locals so you don't qualify.....

We all thought Jetfixer did a good job of answering.

I have just re-read the thread and noticed that the question was answered quickly and easily in the first reply.

ConcernedLAME may have given the correct answer but then promptly got berated for his efforts.
