china southern and the ATO

just spoke to ATO about the contract in aussie with bases on the east coast. they have had several people call.its now being investigated. they have said unless you can produce a tax receipt that clearly shows your gross income and your net income it is worthless. they indicated that australia has a self reporting system. you can lodge what you want. just have the money invested that returns 100% to pay your tax bill and fines. from what the boys at air china say, the chinese dont show the total gross income, only NET! so it is not sufficient to comply.be very very careful.
more of the sandpit for me i guess.

I have had advise that the chinese will provide a withholding statement ( group certificate) similar to an aussie employer, showing both net and gross earnings
My research suggests a personal tax rate of around 50% applies to earnings above 100000 yuan per month

Yes Higs, loads of 777 slots.

That's why when they posted the ad, they cunningly titled it A330 jobs, Australia bases!

Ok monster, you feel better? I have heard through an intermediary that there might be 777 slots as well and would have appreciated a mature response. However the sight of you banging your head against the wall was satisfying none the less..
Feel free to continue the self abuse....
