yuppers

however a statement of reality non the less

The industry is screwed on so many levels, not just on this point.

As any accountant will tell you a high turnover of staff is expensive to an airline in the long run. Clearly a short term plan for J* to add to its seemingly gleaming profitability?

They are already finding a shortage of quality applicants for pilots in USA with people waking up to how ****e an industry it is now.
So just as pilots blame ourselves for ruining it, companies do take their place in the queue also!

<not sure why my post made last night was removed?>

What is the point of a jet command, if it is on an F/O salary!??
So you can get the Capt time then leave and go to an airline that pays market rates for that experience

And there in lies the problem. By taking that command on what some would say is a sub standard package just to get command hours, you're ensuring that the well paid command job you will later seek, isn't there!

By accepting the salary just to get command time, you set the market rates for a Command!!! This is the entire issue in a nutshell!

Hey, I entirely agree with you! Just answering the question with the reality of whats happening out there.
As for market rates I am talking about airlines that are, shall we say, more highly regarded.
