RAN to acquire ROMEO model Seahawk
Just saw a press conference by Defence Minister Stephen Smith announcing the RAN will acquire 24 Romeo models. Good news for the fleet air arm!!

Perhaps they are finally becoming a little risk averse after Collins Class/Sea Sprite/Tiger/MRH-ARH90/Wedgetail/KC30MRTT etc Fiasco's.
Perhaps the Decision markers are starting to realize that the only way to achieve on time/on budget,is buy off the shelf instead of trying to "Australianize"(Read keep as many Canberra Bureaucrats snouts in the trough as possible) every Defence purchase.
The waste off Billions of Taxpayers Funds by these Parasites deserves a Royal Commission!
It should be National Embarrassment that most of our "Defence" equipment can not be sent to a war zone!
