Revoke Qantas' National Carrier Status
Qantas is playing the long game with its shareholders and workforce. The share price has tanked and no diviend has been forthcoming for two years.Management are attacking pilots in the media labelling them rogues and kamikazes. They are now offering redundancies to Cabin Crew while recruiting in the US and the UK.Thei ncomptence that these people have displayed is evident when reading this and other aviation related websites.
Clifford has indicated that everything is on the tabnle including taking the airline off shore. He is attempting to circumvent the Qantas Sale Act.Jackson already had one shot at it and failed.
Should any of this come to pass Qantas status of National carrier should be revoked and open skies declared.
Further institutional shareholders appear to be receiving information regarding the long game that mum and dad shareholders are not.Taking Qantas private it would appear is still on the agenda.Clifford and Joyce are talking the business down in much the same manner Dixon did.
Clifford and his board need to be upfront and honest as to their intentions or suffer some consequences.
We await the results of the senate inquiry to provide some direction in these matters

So who's going to buy the remains????
I am becoming more convinced of a deliberate attempt to tun Qantas down to get foreign ownership rules amended.
I acknowledge that QF is the victim, of the likes of Emirates and Air Asia X, where costs are dramatically lower. I know the world economy has had an impact. But I also acknowledge that QF is still operating like its a governmental department.
I just can't fathom how anybody could deliberately destroy something so Australian, and destroy it to the point that Australians are abandoning it, unless there is a hidden agenda.

The only thing that is not Australian is the Board (and yes I mean all of them for allowing this crap) and the Executive who are behaving like something from south of the border.
The staff, product, culture and protection that has been given is Australian. They must learn they cannot have the benefits and shaft everyone in the process.
I say let them piss off to Singapore and open the skies for anyone who wants to compete because none of us (including the staff) could ultimately be any worse off by the time they outsource everything to anywhere else, while they continue to bleat about everything and anything, and we suffer death by a thousand cuts.
