John Holland to start maintenance for QF
Have just recieved inside info that JHAS about to commence 'A' checks for QF on their Classic and NG 737's.... A330's to come...
This is nothing new. QF sent work there in 2008 during the last PIA. They must be stressing if they are sending it to them. Majority of contracted labour with minimal LAME supervision. JHAS must be good sales people.

"Bad Faith"
If it is true that Qantas are outsourcing heavy work normally done by Qantas engineers, is that what they mean when they say they are negotiating the next EBA "in good faith"?
Is the breaking of provisions of the current EBA part of their good faith negotiations?
Does this mean the 4 weeks pause in PIA, so that negotiations in Fair Work can continue, will be called off because Qantas broke their side of the agreement?
Paying money to MROs outside of the Qantas Group for work that Qantas Engineers were doing, is that smart financial management?
No wonder they can't pay a dividend and the share price has tanked!!

Heard QE has an empty A330 bay in Melbourne hangar
Last time I checked (yesterday) it did not have an "A330 only" sign on the outside!
More often has an A/C in it than not.

Division 1,
According to the advert they're offering $100 - $140k Per annum. Halve that for the six months I guess?
Not all that bad if it's Monday to Friday. The contract is At AVV with Forshaft/Chandler Macleod so it looks like none of Qantas's offshore MRO's can handle their 737-800 overflow work. Too bad QF tulle has been run down to the point that they can't handle it mind you.
Will be surprised if it doesn't go beyond six months as QF look determined to only have two heavy maintenance facilities going forward. Perhaps CN is looking to knife QF heavy tulla? Time will tell.

I hear that JHAS has signed up a bunch of 'Scabs'.
I bet their names will be familiar to the ALAEA.
They wouldn't take people on without some backing from QF.
Of course QF are negotiating in good faith with the ALAEA, while pulling the rug out from under the workers.
