Virgin Foreign Review to Increase Local Jobs

Article on page 34 of the Business Section of the Weekend Australian.

"Virgin Australia says a review of its commercial activities overseas could see hundreds of jobs return home"

This looks ominous for Pacific Blue as it is the only commercial activity overseas as far as I know.
Details over the next couple of months according to the article.

Some maintenance work is done overseas as well. The nice new hangar in Sydney they have announced will provide plenty of Aussie employment opportunities.

Personally I can't see them closing the NZ bases for PB, the money the group save having NZ crews operating flights is just too great to ignore. Mind you it would be nice to be on the VB T&C's....now I doubt that would happen.

Overflow?

I haven't spoken to anyone in the BNE call center since the MNL one opened up.
