Message to IPEC Aviation pilots

Mods - could I beg your indulgence to leave this here for a few days so that the news can get out to those who may be far afield ?

For those who were involved in the early days, a then (non-flying) senior management figure has left us. I haven't seen any public identification so I'll leave it for those from those times to deduce the identity at this stage.

We've lost a full on Industry character and a half and a lot of fond memories of another time. One of a kind.

Phil was very much a larger than life character.

Dearest sympathy to Sylvia, Iola, John and family.

Phil inspired myself and others to not dream, but live the pusuit of Aviation.

A decent gentlemen who lived his life.

Hugs to his grandchildren who are coming to terms with this loss.

Phil's untimely death

I didn't realise that there was a post about Phil in this Forum.

I worked directly for him at IPEC, through the deregulation of air freight & then the introduction of the DC9-33F.

He still had much to come when he left us
