Non-story of the week?

Last night's tv news reported an Air NZ aircraft in Wellington was damaged when a loader managed to clobber it, either with a cart or some other piece of equipment. Ding was in the vicinity of the hold hatch. A/c to be flown empty to NZCH for repair.

Story included a 'live' report from Johnny On-the-spot reporter. Incident happened early that morning (0500-ish local?), and here it was in the 6pm News.

Must have been a very slow news day.

(Must be a very slow day at work for me to post this )

The real question is how many loops did they have to do before landing in Christchurch?
