TAAATS Version 12
Would this "upgrade" be responsible for the mismanagement I experienced on descent/approach into MEL this morning? I recall seven speed changes throughout the descent.

Are you talking about the fact that there was a bunch of time where all the aircraft fell off the screen on Wednesday morning? They even had to send a couple of aircraft back to the gate.
Software upgrade problems.
Software upgrade problems.
MS250 & Coral, I think that I might have been misunderstood. I do not know what problems the TAAATS upgrade has introduced so I was asking if the upgrade has made the sequencing of aircraft for approach more difficult. The descent earlier today was more complex than anything I can recall in a long career so I thought that there may be more behind the scenes than the controllers just having an off day. We weren't the only aircraft in the sky but at the same time, the airwaves didn't sound particularly congested.

No, not related. The software issues were only 'entertaining' 'up north'. Wasn't there, so can't help with why you got the works. Seven sounds like a bad day though; something must have gone off the rails.

This unfortunately is not an isolated incident in projects in this organisation.
Political interference in operationally critical decisions has become endemic.
"Leaders Leading" is a complete farce.
The sound of resignations hitting the desk should have been deafening last friday before this software went on if those with the authority had any cojones.
Sadly it has all happened before - remember when we had to roll back version 51? Same situation - not operationally ready but political pressure overroad sensible decisions.
I hope they get it right before trying again because we wont always be lucky enough to dodge the bullet.
