The Tasman flying will soon be just Jitconnect (masquerading as mainline) and Jetstar.

At least jetconnect is a Qf group company, unlike national jet flying around as Qlink

the tower at avv will not be manned. ASA have sold out again and bent to pressure from JQ management. The airspace will be some bastardised and controlled from mel.

So much for safety.

Also avv costs for jq are significantly lower than operating in mel.
