At the moment the PacBlue crew is operating the POM-BNE , POM-Villa flights etc, the rumour is, they're giving it to the VirginBlue crew to operate these flights for them. Anybody heard anything like this or my drinking buddies were just blowing smoke up my tail pipe?.

Too many pilots (F/O's to be precise) for the 737 in Virgin and PacBlue have a massive undersupply of pilots....doesn't take a genious to figure this one out....however management of this company tried everything else, including threatning redundacies, before they figured it out...pure geniouses running this company I tell ya!
The Morsbey run isn't VB's yet but the Brissy to Port Villa, Wellington and Honiara start on the wet lease late March. The rumour is that there is more of this flying (ie International runs) to come to address the resources stuff up caused by management...it just takes time to get everyone checked out in different ports and also allows time to bed in the International side of things.
