Qantas Dumping Line Maintenance

Saw on another forum that QF is dumping its Line Maintenance.

Has anyone else heard the rumour?

Talking

SIT have dumped all customer contracts due to lack of staff to cover them.

Heard a funny rumour the other day. Engineering Delays have become a bit of a drama (and that in itself is another story) so they developed a bit of a 'flying squad' to pitch in and help out to minimise the delay.

LAME on a/c gets asked how long to fix problem. Responds that MM says about six hours. Management want to know why so long and they'll send the squad to help...how long now? Response was six hours but probably more now because everyone will be getting in everyone else's way! (Problem was in small area where only three people can work at a time!)

It is the same every where, Management don’t understand that only so

many hands will fit on the same bolt & spanner.

But sent in the troops, surely there will be a comedian in the group to

keep spirits up if nothing else.

Lack of vision and genuine management skills more like, if the only ideas they can come up with are reducing labour levels and dropping contract work then god help us all

The biggest frustration of all is the way His Highness Lord M will not listen to anyone, and will not admit to wrong decisions

If it is not his lordships idea it's not going to happen, and if it was and fails lets just retrench a dozen people
