Refer B1 training trouble post

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks like the QF boys are havin a bit of trouble with B1 conversion training!
If they had of chosen the right ones to start with they wouldn't even need to do it!
I believe many of the JH boys are already B1/B2.
Howz the rest of the lads going Romulus?
What have you heard QF22? Some don't have the right quals?

A380 Quals

Only know what I read on B1 Trg probs post.
But if they had chosen guys who already held MA's for initial training all they would have to do was human factors n maybe some wire splicing.
With time running out one would have thought this would be a logical move?

Yes well we know that when HR get involved, the whole thing turns to $hit. There are a few who do not hold an active MA and only did the QF fundamentals course, even one who has sweet fa, so they had better study their freckles off, Feb is just around the corner.

SOBAST, you have been very quiet on this forum of late, perhaps you have been traveling around the Q network doing a spot of training? I wasn't aware that you had resigned from the assn?

Sorry company spy (DM), have you missed me sweety?
As soon as I've read some of the latest "intelligent" posts, I'll post something to stir the rednecks up again. They aren't able to answer a legitimate question or discuss a viewpoint. So watching them make fools of themselves is always good for a laugh.
Please note: anyone intelligent or reasonable out there, this does not refer to you.

Hot off the presses

ALAEA says NO agreement on A380 exists

Therefore NO training will take place until agreement is signed those who do so will be shamed in public as scabs, oh my is that the sound of girls squealing and tissues being pulled

As a side issue would the VP of the AIRC see QF doing this as an escalation of UPIA and non observance of his recommendation ???

Legal Eagles, your words of wisdom please !!!

A380 Training

At the moment all they are doing is Part 66 conversion training, the actual 380 course doesn't start until March.
So I guess it's debatable whether there is a problem at this stage ? ? ? ?
I am sure some agreement will be reached before March ? ? ? ? ?

The decision will need to be much sooner than march. I am sure ACS or JHAS will want an answer before march.
Surely JHAS would be in with a good chance now, with all the uncertainty with LAME industrial relations etc.

Feb 4th

I believe we will find out on or about Feb 4th?
Historically I would say the decision has been made.
Slightly off topic I believe it's full steam ahead in KL, 2 new sheds which can fit an A380 in each, and agencies recruiting for LAE's already ! ! ! !

Sobast, you can't help yourself can you. You are not doing yourself any favours, especially now that your cover has been blown.

News from K.L. that ex-General Manager none other than K.C. has been boozing it up with the ex-pats working in Subang and a bit forthcoming with info. Apparently he will be looking after the setting up of the new sheds in K.L..
I wouldn't be surprised if an ex-official from the assoc. becomes the hr manager

WHO CARES ABOUT THE A380 ANYMORE. GIVE IT UP ITS ONLY GOING TO KEEP 18 SOBASTS IN A JOB FOR A LIMITED TIME - THEN THEY WILL HAVE TO COME BACK AND WORK WITH THE REAL ENGINEERS. GOOD LUCK TRYING TO FIT BACK IN!

hear hear. Nobody cares about the A380 or the A330 right now. What if we do get them? We will all be casuals or working different shifts each week with no chance of planning our lives outside of work.

Congratulations to the trolls / stooges that had the EBA thread shut down. Do you get a bonus for your good work?

My theory ....

JHAS and QE to share Line/Base Maint.

QE and MAS to share Heavy Maint.

Qantas never has to rely solely on only one provider and always in a position to play one off against the other, that is, contact rates, unions etc etc.

I agree

On 05 Jan post #386 I said SIA for HM, but having found out the 2 new sheds in KL can take a 380 each, I agree, HM in KL.
We will know soon enough.

B1 Training Troubles

G'day All
I refer to the above topic which was moved to the D & G GA section for some unknown reason ? ? ?
Does anybody know if the QF and JH boys are sharing a classroom at Aviation Australia and who's passing or failing QF or JH ? ? ?
Maybe Romulus can give us an update ? ? ?
Cheers
