Thirteen evacuated after fears of fire on plane
Mon, 24 Sep 2007 11:37a.m.
Thirteen people were evacuated from a charter plane that landed at Auckland airport this morning, after fears of an engine fire.
The Air National domestic flight stopped short of the terminal, and passengers were left standing on the tarmac before a bus ferried them the rest of the way.
Fire engines and an ambulance were on standby, but there were no injuries.
Airport police say there was no fire, but it was necessary to follow procedures.
