frog-less,
Mate, are you serious? How old are you - 12?
I hope you don't work for Qlink cos with that attitude you're an embarrassment to not only the company, but aviation in general!

Grrowler, you've got it all wrong! I think it is a great cause, but i am sick of a few individuals at a certain airline baggin out every thing in the industry that happens!! Are you one of these people!

Yes I am 12. Maybe soon i will be working at Eastern! I thought this was a good resourced site, but I am continually dissappointed with the lack of information for me to choose what career path I wish to follow!

I want good news stories to come out in Aviation like this one and I am sick of wingers! Grow up!

There is another big announcment coming soon.

Q Link will be sponsoring "prostate cancer" we have already started sourcing brown paint, and have a graphic artists working on a drawing of a sphincter which will be painted on the nose of all Q Link aircraft and the spinners of the dash 8.
There is an internal competition allowing all management staff in all branches of Q Link to model for the position.

NJS is leading the race at the moment with many more assholes than its regional partners.

Ggrowler, it sounds like you need to get off that crusty old Eastern pedestal and support your fellow man. I bet you are one of those that would backstab the next man without any second thought. You speak of such loyalty, but it seems like your quite the whinger!!

Grow up, and when you have something relevent to say, then say it. Otherwise stop wasting time. Good luck, hope the CRJ's come your way.

There is no announcement, simple! A chineese whispers rumour is all it is.

32 megapixels,
OK dad I'll only post when you think it's appropriate And how on earth you draw the conclusion I'm a backstabber for telling someone to grow up???

When I posted, I was referring to frog-less' original post, which was some childish comment about a Rex FO. He/ She has since removed those comments, perhaps realising how ridiculous they were.

Far from being on a pedestal, my suggestion was that we should not stoop to personal attacks on people simply because they are employed by another company.

I think everyone at sunnies and eastern are sick of hearing about the so called "announcement".
there have been plenty of proposed dates and they continue to pass without a wisper from management.
Morale is at an all time low and crew are continuing to leave in droves.

Devil

Sunnies gettin a taste of SYD (mis)management. Welcome to our world for the last 10 years. Don't take it out on the pilots. Management is yer enemy not us.
Reg Affairs boss takes exception to one of the most highly respected (J.A.) former C+T's telling it like it is. Says "If you don't like it, leave". So everybody is. Good advice WOK.
Nobody cares about a announcement. To busy preparin for outside interviews Cockaroach is full of crap. "Announcement" is a diversion to dupe everyone into voting for a **** EBA. Better announce it soon mate coz the vote starts on 23rd. If it aint career progression no strings attached you better resign, mate coz you won't be making KPIs this year with all the flight cancellations.
See youse!

Sunnies was great. Low staff turnover, happy workforce.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

comes to mind. Bit late though.

Me thinks it's almost completely fcuked now.

Hoss! You are a very naughty boy!

Happy grazing in your new pasture, (may it always be as green as you wish it to be - at least you will know lots of the herd); Sorry I won't be able to catch up with you before you leave.

Look out for an annoucement of a large Q400 order in the coming weeks....
A lot of airlines have been placing large aircraft orders recently without giving a thought as to where they are going to get enough pilots to fly them.

Reading the posts on this thread has highlighted the need for a progression system within the Qantas group for pilots. To lose skilled and valuable pilots to DJ or overseas is a waste and it's about time that management wake-up and change their ways.

To all the pilots leaving Q Link, all the best for your future. I hope you find your new careers rewarding. GB

The archaic bureaucratic system requiring pilots to re-sit and pay for the skills and psych test to transfer within the group is an example of Qantas really not doing itself any favours. A truly bloated behemoth it has become, way too top-heavy in middle management. You have to chuckle at the current situation.

The term HUMAN RESOURCES is outdated. Progressive companies realise happy staff are more valuable than getting the best 'efficiency' out of your people. It's a case of diminishing returns. False economy.

I am heartily sick of hearing the Qlink management crow about the latest efficiency in HR management.

People are not fuel, energy, machines or numbers. To treat them so will backfire badly.

poorly-written rant over

"It's all about bucks, the rest is conversation" -Gordon Gecko

As in Easterns as in mainline, industrial deafness is at an all time high.
  • Career progression
  • Remuneration
  • integrity in management

I cannot see a change until the bunch of cronies "running" the group (into the ground) leave. It is a corporate cancer and needs cutting out.

Well what ever there going to offer it would want to be out by tomorrow.
Eastern start voting on there EBA on Tuesday.
The EBA should be voted down anyway, but the management hopes there little carrot may get it over the line.
