DHL 727 that sits in Auckland

Who operates the DHL 727 that sits up in Auckland??
That would be the greatest job!
would one need previous jet time to get a job there??

Would love to know more about it if anyone can help.
Thanks

Rego VH-DHE
Asian Express airlines
They have just hired one or two FOs. Pretty steady workforce, not much turnover. Better get your CV in now for 2010

Hold your breath for income too. The economics of a 727 Freighter don't make sense when compared with widebody belly freight rates. Stuff gets driven and flown to Auckland from all over the place to fill that once a day.

AEA ran an ad in the NZ Herald earlier this year for crew. F/O requirements were 2000TT and 500 multi crew. 727 rating preferred.
Although this was the published min I dont know what you really need to get in.
Lots of the postions used to be filled by ex RNZAF 727 boys. I would suspect these day it would be boys looking for something fairly part-timish after a career on jets.

Cheers for that.
Not really to worried about the pay.
Flying a dirty old 727 would be the best job.
