He is a tough guy, that Geoff Dixon.
No sooner had he raised fuel surcharges on overseas Qantas flights than he jetted off to London to apply a squeeze on Boeing.
The Terrier from Wagga Wagga is trying to "convince" Boeing to produce the 350 passenger version of the new 787 Dreamliner. He is ramping up the pressure by visiting Airbus HQ in Toulouse to look at their A350 plans.
But before he left he had a neat backhander for Virgin Blue, saying he still didn't get Brett Godfrey's concept of a new world airline.
"I know what an old world carrier is because I am running one."
He also refused to comment on the three Qantas board vacancies saying he "wouldn't last in the job two months" if he tried to pick the board

So Dixon is a dog.Whats newsworthy about that?

See if the terrier can get a jumpseat on Qlink to Wagga. He is despised by his own people so much that noone will have him on the flightdeck.
