The aircraft at the centre of TT's investigations was subsequently inspected by engineers in London during a long period of ground time and further shonky wiring repairs were discovered. This will go on to haunt Qantas for a while yet.

Qantas is about to send another B744 to SIAEC, probably because there is no vacancies anywhere else. An "army" of QF engineers will be on site (at great expence) to audit the maintenance.
