QantasLink advertise in NZ
After a botched game of union over the weekend, I find this as my sole retribution towards the Ozmates across the ditch, maybe it'll be just as annoying as blowing a 9 point lead to lose by 5
Todays edition of the Dominion Post, Wed 4th July, Page E6, top right hand corner under the heading of "Executive Appointments" is an ad for "Pilot Opportunities" with QantasLink.
Due to lack of link to online classifieds the requirements are:
Ability to hold a ASIC
High School Cert or higher
Residency or passport (Oz or NZ)
OZ/ NZ CPL with ATPL subjects
700hrs total flying experience
250hrs multi fixed wing (command or Co-pilot)
Instrument Rating (command or co-pilot) with validity of atleast 3 mths from commencment of training
OZ or NZ Class 1 medical
An existing Dash 8 endorsement is highly desirable, but not essential
For further info go to www.qantaslink.bfound.net
NZ applicants with Dash 8 endorsements should contact QantasLink flight Ops for further details on selection requirements
Are you Ozmates running short of 700hr / 250 multi pilot types over there?

Bring on Bledisloe II, 2007!

Oh yeah? You hold kiwi pilots responsible for the pathetic pay-rates in Aussie GA then?! I'd be interested to know what led you to draw this conclusion Cod, please share with us....

PB, love it...that's about how most of my flight training went. would have been half the cost if I stayed sober (but no where near as fun).
and on the topic at hand,
For the privilege of applying for this position you will now need to fatten Staff CV's pockets to the tune of $15
An airline looking for pilots? or just another HR company looking to fill their books?.....and make a buck off some wannabes at the same time it would appear.
What a crock.
