I got an invitation for an interview this week.

I'm afraid I don't know what to expect either.

Not sure I will go. Flight to AKL and 3 nights accom. There goes $1000 and for an international relocation AND endorsement fee AND a low wage. Think I'll give it a miss and wait for a better deal.

Answer NO when asked about paying for your endorsement. Then you'll find it comes with the job and you won't have to go looking for one.

Saves you a lot of beer tokens in the process as well.

The interview is done within a few hours. Noramally you will be interviewed by 2 people- 1 a pilot and the other from main office. Questions are all general personal and career type with maybe a few regarding Instrument Law. Then you have a quick visit with the doctor, not a medical as such mainly just a few questions regarding your health etc. All in all the process is fairly stress free compared to other interviews around the show. You do also do a internet pysch type exam but I dont think they weigh to heavily upon it, they actually showed me mine in my interview and it was pretty interesting.

Does anyone know what date the interviews are?

I heard a rumour that Jitconnict are so short of crews that Qantas mainline tech and cabin crew will be operating 4 of their 737's on Tasman services for 6 months.

Licensed&Lethal. Just wondering how long have you been applying/updating before you got the opportunity?

laydown,
Your source is correct.
People are starting to vote with their feet as well as in EBA votes in airlines that just don't get it..
The worm has turned!
The pilot shortage is REAL you (mis) management types!
Your chickens (contempt for pilots) are coming home to roost
Get with the program or get ready to park airframes.
