Was looking at the Virgin Blue website and they have "Olympic Dam" in their list of destinations..... what the?

Are they acting as an agent for Alliance?

I noticed that as well... should be interesting... I beleive DJ and Alliance already have some sort of agreement out of Brisbane... but what they do out of Adelaide is still been kept fairly quiet...
I'm guessing DJ will do most of the ground handling etc... but what about the aircraft...It's definately going to be F50 aircraft at first into Olympic dam. I beleive the runway won't fit anything bigger until it gets upgraded. All the recruitment in Adl was for the F50 too i beleive.
What i want to know is, are they going to be in Alliance Livery or be done up in the DJ colours Red? Maybe being wetleased like what NationalJet do with Qantaslink....NJS staff/aircraft... but fly on behalf of Qantas?

Already painted in the Alliance livery. Eventually you'll see an F100 on the route IE in a few years.

Alliance flights using DJ reservation system.

Eventually you will see jets flying direct from Melbourne and Sydney, won't even need to stop into sleepy hollow then...

How can a F100 run to Woomera ?

Woomera is not up to specs for RPT Jet services, and last time I looked at Alliances AOC Woomera was not there for their RPT ops.

The F100 flights to Woomera will be charter, not RPT.

So I guess the only pax will be BHP then, If seats are sold to other parties then this would constitute RPT.

The F50 did go into Olympic Dam on Sunday, but the F100 has been going into Woomera since then. Callsign for the F100 is Unity 971.

DF.
