AFRU - Operational Requirement?
I am aware of the requirement for non-controlled aerodromes having more than 5 services a week with aircraft of greater than 9 pax to have an AFRU installed. Specified in MOS 139,Chap 14
But what restrictions would be placed on an operation where said AFRU has a NOTAM current for example being unavailable due maintenance?
Would this stop an RPT or charter service from operating? Is this specified under any specific part of CASRs or CAOs or would it be part of company operating procedures?

CAO 82.3 para 5a, refers to Other than High cap RPT.
HOWEVER it may be unserviceable for 7 days, OR CASA has deemed it "technically impractical to provide a radiocommunications system" at that airport.
