Brisbane HM exodus
In the past 2 weeks has seen the departure of an A330 Mech Lame, A330 Avionics Snr Lame, the 2nd Tech Cell Sheetmetal Specialist, 2xSheetmetal Ames, Miss Lean Sigma and various others, the number of permanent staff that have left exceeds 50 in 2 years. So what have the 3 Stooges done except hunker down in their management complex and demand further erosion of pay and conditions. It looks likely there will just be enough staff left for 1 line of maintenance soon. It will be very interesting when they try to start back up 2 lines of maintenance in a couple of months time.

I agree with all the above. Just supprised that it has taken people so long to realise all this when I have been posting words to the effect in these forums for well over a year now.
Agree in particular about the shift managers. They have basically shoved off all their responsibilities onto others. I invite readers to state the responsibilities of the two shift managers and define their roles. I believe it would be a VERY short description.
My opinion on what the "direction" is at BHM....
Managment are happy to see people walk out the door, as this will reduce the gross redundancy pay out required in the future. I believe they have a set figure.... let's say 1 million. This is the gross redundancy pay out figure. Once the total payout for remaining employees reaches this figure, they will make them redundant and open up applications for employees under AWAs.
Anyone who has spoken to me face to face about the state of play in BHM will have heard this already.
