Whats the goss on Ozjet?

Havent read aything on here for a while. Wondering if anyone has heard anymore on Ozjet?

Have they got jets in Perth yet?
Are they crewed?
Are they interviewing again soon?
Have the got more than contract yet?
Who will be doing the turnarounds at curtin?

Jedi,
They start on the 27th of the month, so I would hope they are crewed soon, though i note on the website it states * subject to regulatory approval which I suspect would be forthcoming...
you can even buy seats on-line now, will be interesting to see how it works out using curtin because it is a bit in the middle of nowhere, though i suppose the mining companies won't mind, from the point of generating tourism traffic this may be a bit off-putting.
i believe the deal was done with 4 nearby mining companies. the local shire there have been busy doing the groundwork for launch day to make sure all is ready.
does anyone know are these ETOPs flights as was talking to someone from OzJet the other day and he was sure they were.

There are plenty of jet capable runways throughout that part of the world, Meekatharra, Newman, Telfer, Broome, Port Hedland, Karratha, Parraburdoo, plus another half dozen mine strips around if you were really in trouble.

not etops and Ansett used Curtin for quite sometime after the town runway became shagged and it worked fine. Derby mob would prefer driving 20 odd km than the 250 km to Broome, one would hope. Although with the Derby mob you just never know!

think you will find curtin is more like 50 odd km from derby, but true still better than driving to broome! and there won't be any probs with the facilities, the runway is kms long and must be kept in good order in case we get invaded!

Take a look at:

http://www.impactpub.com.au/micebtn/...sk=view&id=679

This gives you a good idea of where Ozjet is at, at
the moment. Look at the next page too.
