B717 ferry flights? Heading west?

Heard a rumour that VH-YQF might be out of budget/avis colours and be sporting a new coat of paint at Willytown.

Any airport watchers seen or heard anything about a new home for this or any of the other 6 exJQ 717?

Have also heard theres quite a few more A320's coming our way for Jetstar domestic ops. In the vicinity of 15-20 more frames.

Can't comment on YQF but noticed one of the 717s parked out the front of Qantas hangar 3 in Brisbane had its left engine cowlings and L1 door open for the first time in a long time. Perhaps it is being taken out of storage?

engine runs at about 1830 last night, they spin up the b717's stored there on a rotational basis, although they don't move them around, they'd have some serious flat spots.

B717

No. YQF is still in it's horrible Budget colours..........

No. There has been no talk of 15-20 new A320's..........

No. They are still in storage. They all have a 7 day service check which requires them to be engine run and yes they are all towed every month to stop the flat spotting of the tyres.

Just thought a bit of truth to this thread would be nice

And when i mentioned A320's, I should of said the family of A320's, as the 21 is still looking promising. Star Class in the front and 'off peak' city flyers in due course 'apparently'.

Yeah, I think ya source gave you a bum steer Hoff, as management have been talking about it quite openly. Another 500 guys required by late 2008.
