One more cheesedick award deserves mention....
The Qantas display in the 767. Who the hell decided on the "ballistic climb" with flap down???? Retracting in the climb?
And what happened to a flypast clean at 300kt?
CASA???? Or are the 76 drivers all soft?

As a general rule, CASA airshow approvals cease when any military aircraft performs their part in a civil airshow, and recommence once the military flying finishes.

Was on a Bne o/n a couple of weeks ago when I passed by a little bar just off the mall at about 20:00 on a friday night. Sitting in the window was a young bloke doing his Jep amendments with a mate looking longingly on!!
What's with the self esteem issues that a significant number of our cohorts have - were they not loved as children??

QNIM,
Perth has it for the next couple of years, and provides a superb aero/nautical amphitheatre for it. Pity the domestic terminal couldn't cope on Monday with a couple of 747s.
Can't imagine Yarra Creek sufficing.
Brisvegas could put on a show, might be tricky with the city's proximity to YBBN though.
What a shame Sydney missed out for this spectacle though. Could you imagine a course around Farm Cove, Opera House, and (casa-forbid!) the Harbour Bridge? A temporary strip could probably fit somewhere on Garden Is or the container areas around White Bay or Millers Point.

The slow pass got them a little more advertising time and the "ballistic climb" was about the most speccy thing they could do without the EGPWS and QAR going nuts. (Well over 8,000fpm) They were actually quite limited to what they could do as while they were practising in the sim they were frequently getting EGPWS alerts being generated by the CBD and a spot height in Kings Park.
For my money it all over the four-ship Hornet display.
Shmoke on.

Yeah you have to stop the ferries from cruising around during the show and all the bludgers would have an apoplexy.
Plus where would everyone sit, you can hardly shake a stick or swing a cat on the foreshore of the harbour. I suppose you could turn the stools all upside fown for your Sydneysiders, that's be four seats-per-stool for some of them....
