Wot was up @ CBR yesterday afternoon. (Wednesday 8/11/06)
Was in the area and heard Sunnies Q400s holding, DJ with arrival slots, QF at min speed etc. FQ Metro sequenced for landing Rwy 12
Had a listen to the ATIS, and Rwy 17 Not Avbl. till 0500. But the closure seemed to continue beyond then.
Anyone know?

started work dealing with self at 1530 runway things were shutdown at about that time for about an hour, all due to a 747 from over middle east somewhere (me thinks some prince from somewhere over there) blowing the proverbial crap load of **** onto runway and lighting damage closed for sweep and inspection.
QF had a 734 and a dh4 divert to SYD
