Park and Bark at KSA

Heard a story that the site just near the FAC Resources Centre, near the Spotters Hill and opposite the heliport in Ross Smith Ave, is to become a kennel!! Intended for travellers to leave their pooches and moggies before parking their cars and jumping a burner.

Gawd, what sort of non-aviation nonsense will SACL think up next. Already they have booted the medical centre off the field and installed a donut shop, planned a massive shopping centre off the end of a runway, and now a kennel. No thought about sending the helicopter operators barking mad, and ignoring one of the operators who has been begging SACL to let him build a hangar for his helicopters. Heliport leases are not being renewed, so operators have little security of tenure.

But Max and his successors will get a performance bonus, no doubt.

Anything that might make their masters (handlers?) in the old GPO a quid.

To ensure that they get a perf bonus as well.

Anything that doesn't turn a buck will go. Sydney Airport is no longer primarily for aviation; rather primarily for making a (fast) buck.
